About Maxwell Sheffield

Maxwell is a Broadway theatrical producer and made some success even though his arch rival Andrew Lloyd Weber made more success from his musical “Cats”. It has always annoyed him that he had turned down producing the shows Tommy , Hair, and especially Cats, which are the plays that Webber had made millions from. Even with common attraction, Maxwell and Fran try to keep their relationship professional. Maxwell is always running from Fran that is always ready to commit while Maxwell is not. Maxwell is just afraid of his feelings so they just relate to each other superficially. During a flight to New York of them coming back from Paris, the plane that carries Max and Fran had some trouble in the air and Maxwell thought that they were spending their last moments on Earth together so he told her he loved her...THEN TAKES IT BACK!!! It’s also called “The Thing.” Isn’t that so mean!!! Meanwhile, Niles the Butler is always suffering from wanting to know what “The Thing” is. The month of his birthday wasn't mentioned but the year of his birth on The Nanny was 1954.
